Description

This is Steinel’s short-barrel 9mm self defense load.  While standard “cup and core” jacketed hollow points have been relied upon for decades, this load takes advantage of modern CNC and EDM technologies in producing the perfect defensive bullet for your 9mm.  These Solid Copper Hollow Points (SCHP) from Maker expand to an average diameter of over .65″ even when fired from barrel lengths commonly found in today’s sub-compact pistols.  This load passes the FBI standard ballistics gel test- even when fired from a Kahr PM9 (3″ barrel).  NOTE: Solid Copper Hollow Points have a large technological advantage over their jacketed lead couterparts.  A capable, proven SCHP manufacturer, like Maker, has the ability to fine tune a number of variables (dimensions, slit width, cavity depth, etc) via their CNC program.  These contribute to reliability as well as penetration and expansion.  This highly customizable R&D process allows for rapid prototyping and has resulted in the best self defense bullet on the market.  Additinally, the consistency from round to round and from batch to batch superior to jacketed bullets.

This load provide the terminal performance you demand- and does so with less velocity, muzzle flip, and muzzle flash.

Suitable for all barrel lengths, including the 16″ PCCs (pistol caliber carbine).  As with all self defense loads: test this ammo through your weapon(s) prior to carrying- particularly if you have made modifcations.

Due to brass availability/delays, standard non nickel-plated brass is used.
